Logo to PNG

You place the logo on a canvas, clean the backdrop if it is still sitting on white or gray, and export PNG — with transparency when the mark needs to sit on any color. That PNG is what social apps, Slack, and most CMS fields actually accept.

Work at a size larger than the smallest place you will use the mark (avatars are cruel). Then export once and let networks downscale.

1. Open the mobile-first editor and create a canvas (a square is fine for a mark).
2. Upload the logo or paste it from another design in the workspace.
3. Run background removal if you need alpha around the mark.
4. Fix type or shapes with the manual editor if the source was muddy.

Because the “official” logo arrived as a PDF slide, a WhatsApp screenshot, or a JPEG with a white box. Instagram and a nav bar want pixels, often with a hole around the symbol.

Searchers also want to stop rebuilding the mark every week. A clean PNG in a brand kit is the actual destination, not a one-off download.

• Do not screenshot a vector in Preview and call it done — you will get compression soup.
• Keep a master PNG in the kit; crop copies for 4:5 posts instead of re-exporting wild sizes.
• If the source is already SVG-like paths you can redraw, prefer clean shapes plus PNG export over a blurry photo of the logo.
