How to schedule Instagram posts
Scheduling only helps if the asset is ready. Design the post, generate or write the caption, then queue it for Instagram from the same workspace.
Why schedule instead of posting live
Instagram rewards consistency more than hero hours. Scheduling lets you design on Monday night and still hit a lunch-slot 4:5 post. It also stops the “I’ll post when the PNG export finishes on my laptop” leak.
The failure mode is scheduling a wrong-size crop or last week’s carousel. The calendar is only as good as the canvas that fed it.
Design the asset before you pick a time
Start in the editor at 4:5 for feed or 9:16 for Stories. Use templates, remix, FLUX, and brand kits so the graphic matches the grid. Carousels are extra slides, not extra files emailed to yourself.
Exporting to Buffer or Later and then discovering the type is unreadable is how people pay for two products and still look rushed.
Pair the caption with the file
Write the caption next to the design, not three days later in a notes app. If the graphic already says the offer, the caption can add context, tags, and a prompt — it should not repeat the headline twice.
Keep alt-style descriptions in mind for accessibility even if you paste the same text into Instagram’s field later.
Queue the post
Connect Instagram once per workspace. Then treat publish like export: same project, same slides, chosen time.
Amadezing can publish and schedule to 10+ networks, so the same campaign can hit LinkedIn later without redesigning — but still duplicate to the right size instead of stretching.
- Finish the 4:5 (or 9:16) design, including carousel slides.
- Confirm brand kit logo and colors.
- Write the caption in the publish flow.
- Pick date and time in the scheduler.
- Spot-check the preview on a phone-sized frame, then queue.
Habits that keep a scheduled grid clean
Batch similar posts in one workspace. Mix-and-match random templates the morning of will undo the brand kit.
If a product shot needs a new backdrop, remove the background in the editor before you schedule. Do not hope the app crop will hide a messy studio.
- Stories and feed are different jobs — different canvases, different times.
- Leave slack before launches; AI generation uses credits and can queue behind a busy hour.
- When a post must also go to YouTube or LinkedIn, resize on purpose.
