How to create social media graphics
Each network wants a different canvas. The workflow is the same: pick the size, lock the brand, design the layout, export PNG, then publish or schedule.
Match the network before you decorate
Instagram feed is 4:5. Stories are 9:16. YouTube thumbnails and many ads are 16:9. LinkedIn banners are a wide crop with a hole for the avatar. A4/Letter still matters for one-pagers you attach as images. Wrong size is the most expensive “design” mistake because nothing else will save the crop.
If the same campaign must live in three ratios, duplicate the idea onto three canvases instead of stretching one JPEG. Multi-size is a feature; squash is not.
Lock brand before the first prompt
Load brand kit colors, fonts, and logos first. Generation without a palette is how every account starts to look like the same AI moodboard.
Workspaces keep a client’s kit from leaking into your personal grid. Remix a template only after the kit is on, so the structure inherits the right type.
A layout recipe that works on any network
Social graphics are posters with a job: stop the thumb, state the point, show who it is from. AI can propose the scene; you still set hierarchy.
When a message needs more than one beat, use a carousel with unlimited slides rather than a paragraph on the image.
- Pick the canvas: 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, or A4/Letter.
- Apply the brand kit, then remix a template or generate a scene with FLUX.
- Place one headline, optional support line, and the logo — using text, shapes, and emoji by hand if the model missed.
- Remove the background on product or portrait shots so they sit on brand color.
- Add light motion only if the network will play it (Stories more than a static LinkedIn crop).
- Export PNG, then publish or schedule to the right network from the same workspace.
Build a small system, not one-off art
Save the first good post as a template for the rest of the month. Swap the image and the offer; keep margins and type styles. That is how a small team looks consistent without a brand studio.
Carousels and multi-size sets belong in one project. Exporting “final_v7_REAL.png” from five tools is how captions ship with last year’s logo.
Practical checks before you post
Preview at the size of a phone thumb. If the face or the price is gone, redesign. Compression on Instagram and LinkedIn will make thin type worse, not better.
Keep a transparent logo in the kit. Rebuilding the mark in the corner every time is how it drifts off-center.
- One idea per frame; proof and testimonials go on later slides.
- High contrast beats pretty gradients that vanish on OLED.
- Schedule from the design tool when you can — the asset and the caption stay paired.
Do it with Amadezing
Amadezing is a mobile-first social editor: templates, remix, brand kits, carousels, FLUX, background removal, and one-click PNG. Then publish to 10+ networks without a second app for the calendar.
Use it as a Canva/Figma alternative for social when you want generation plus a real editor, not a slide of templates you never customize.
